30 day shred

I ordered Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and intend to use it during the month of September. She claims you can lose 20 pounds in a month. Presumably that's if you are overweight and sedentary when you start. I want to go for 4-5 pounds. We'll see if I get any results!

I saw the infomercial. Geez... it came out right before the olympics - or at least that was the first time I saw it. Seems EVERYONE is getting in on the action!

I knew Mitch Gaylord was in the fitness industry, but I hadn't heard of 3 day melt.

I got the Jillian DVD and Derek and I did the Level 1 Workout today. It was a good little sweat, if short. I don't think doing just that will melt off a whole lot of fat, though. I'm going to give it a go and see what happens.

If I'm not mistaken there are 3 segments to the Jillian 30-day shred program, right? Level 1, 2 and 3. So how do they recommend you follow that for a 30 day program .. like how many days do you do level 1 before moving to level 2, etc. Just curious how it works. I can't find out much information about it on Amazon. Thanks!

Hi McDougall Plan!! Unhelpfully, the DVD didn't come with any instructions. But I think the sensible thing is to do Level 1 until you think you're ready to go for 2. For some people that may be a while. If you try Level 2 and it's too much, you just go back to Level 1 for a while. I haven't tried Level 3 yet, nor previewed it. Level 2 is pretty much all I can hack right now!

But to lose the 20 pounds in 30 days, would you be expected to do the workout every day?

I think you are meant to do it every day, yes.
